The Colt legacy began in 1830, when Samuel Colt carved a wooden prototype of a handgun having a revolving cylinder with chambers to hold bullets. By 1851, Colt started the Patent Firearms Manufacturing Company which mass produced 150 revolvers a day. During the Civil War, Colt was supplying both sides up until 1861 when he stopped selling to the Confederate Army. After his death in 1862, his wife took over the business and lead the company to develop the revolver with metal cartridges, named the Peacemaker. Other popular Colt models include the Colt Python and the Colt 1911. This Colt Delta has a clear body and operates on spring propulsion with a maximum velocity of up to 315 fps.
